Target
Vertex Solutions aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA for pages on vertexssolutions.com: text alternatives where images convey information, keyboard access to controls, visible focus, labels on inputs, and contrast that can be read in the default theme. We have not commissioned a formal WCAG audit, so this statement describes the target and the limits we already know.
What works without a mouse
Navigation, search, category filters, and the main tool controls are built as buttons and links. FAQ answers stay in the page so they can be read without opening a panel. Calculator fields use visible labels. The cookie banner is a dialog with accept and decline buttons.
Known limitations
- PDF and image tools depend on the browser's file picker and on canvas drawing. A failed canvas or a very large file can stop the tool without a rich error for assistive technology.
- Remove Background can take a long time on the first run while model files download. There is no separate audio progress channel.
- Some converted PDFs are images of pages. A screen reader cannot read text that the compression tool has redrawn as a picture.
- Color is not the only status signal we intend to use, but a chart or preview may still be hard to interpret if you cannot see it. The numeric result next to a calculator is the value to rely on.
- Third-party scripts, including Google Analytics and a PDF.js worker, are outside the markup we control.
