A few tools still download a worker script or a model file. Those requests are named in the group below. Google Analytics, and Google AdSense if it is enabled, can load on the page itself. That collection is separate from the tool and is described in the privacy policy.

PDF tools that use bundled pdf-lib
- Where it runs
- Merge, split, rotate, and JPG to PDF run pdf-lib in the browser. Word to PDF also extracts DOCX text locally with Mammoth, then draws that text with pdf-lib.
- Upload
- File bytes are not posted to a Vertex server.
- External runtime
- pdf-lib and Mammoth are bundled with the site. These five tools do not load a PDF worker from a CDN.
- Retention
- Files stay in tab memory until you leave the page or clear them. They are not written to a Vertex database.
PDF tools that load the PDF.js worker
- Where it runs
- Compress PDF and PDF to JPG render pages in the browser. PDF to Word extracts text in the browser and builds a DOCX with the bundled docx library. Compress PDF then rebuilds a PDF of JPEG pages with pdf-lib.
- Upload
- The PDF is passed to PDF.js as an in-memory buffer. It is not posted to a Vertex server.
- External runtime
- The PDF.js worker script is loaded from unpkg.com (pdfjs-dist worker). That request downloads the worker code. This repository does not send the PDF to unpkg.
- Retention
- File bytes stay in the tab on our side. Logs for the worker-script request are controlled by unpkg, not by this site.
Image tools that use the canvas
- Where it runs
- Resize, crop, PNG to JPG, JPG to PNG, and the WebP converter draw the image with the browser canvas.
- Upload
- Image bytes are not posted to a Vertex server.
- External runtime
- These five tools do not download a model or worker for the image.
- Retention
- The image stays in tab memory until you leave the page or clear it.
Compress Image
- Where it runs
- browser-image-compression runs in the browser.
- Upload
- The image is not posted to a Vertex server.
- External runtime
- The compression library is bundled. No image CDN is called.
- Retention
- The image stays in tab memory until you leave the page or clear it.
Remove Background
- Where it runs
- @imgly/background-removal runs the isnet_quint8 model on-device (CPU, proxyToWorker disabled).
- Upload
- The photo is not posted to a Vertex server for editing.
- External runtime
- The first run downloads model files from staticimgly.com/@imgly/background-removal-data/1.7.0/dist/.
- Retention
- The photo stays in the tab. This site does not store it. Logs for the model-file download are controlled by that CDN, not by Vertex.
Text tools
- Where it runs
- Text is transformed in the browser. Passwords use crypto.getRandomValues. UUIDs use crypto.randomUUID.
- Upload
- Pasted text is not posted to a Vertex server.
- External runtime
- No text-tool library is loaded from a CDN at runtime.
- Retention
- Text stays in the tab. Generated passwords and UUIDs are not stored by this site.
Developer tools
- Where it runs
- Formatting uses bundled js-beautify. Hashes use SparkMD5 for MD5 and Web Crypto for SHA-1, SHA-256, and SHA-512. Regex uses JavaScript RegExp. URL tools use encodeURIComponent and decodeURIComponent.
- Upload
- Pasted code and text are not posted to a Vertex server.
- External runtime
- These libraries are bundled. Hashing does not call a remote hash API.
- Retention
- Input stays in the tab and is not written to a Vertex database.
