  2. Calculator comparisons

Which calculator do you need?

These five clusters look alike in a directory. Each comparison states the input, the formula, a worked example, and the tool to open.

  • Mortgage vs EMI vs loan payoff — Mortgage and EMI solve for the monthly payment. Loan payoff starts from a payment you choose and returns the months left. Same amortization family, different inputs.
  • Pakistan GST vs sales tax — Pakistan GST and the sales tax calculator share inclusive and exclusive math. GST is labeled for PKR and tells you to confirm the FBR rate. Sales tax is a generic rate in any currency.
  • Compound interest vs simple interest vs CAGR vs inflation — Compound interest projects a future value. Simple interest does not compound. CAGR annualizes two known values. Inflation shows purchasing power at a constant rate.
  • GPA vs grade vs average — GPA weights letter grades by credits on a 4.0 scale. Grade weights percent scores by assignment weight. Average is the unweighted mean of a number list.
  • Percentage vs discount vs margin vs commission vs tip — Percentage is general percent math. Discount is a sale price. Margin and markup come from cost and price. Commission is sales times a rate. Tip splits a bill.
